Key Stage 1 (KS1) – Years 1 & 2
At KS1, children are building the foundations for lifelong learning. Our tutoring focuses on:
- English: Phonics, early reading, spelling, and sentence writing.
- Maths: Number bonds, addition and subtraction, basic multiplication and division.
- Science: Exploring the world through simple experiments and observations.
- Other Subjects: Introduction to history, geography, and creative arts in line with the National Curriculum
Key Stage 2 (KS2) – Years 3 to 6
KS2 is all about strengthening skills and preparing for the transition to secondary school with a focus on the 11+ and Independent entrance exams. We cover:
- English: Reading comprehension, grammar, creative writing, and spelling.
- Maths: Fractions, decimals, percentages, problem-solving, and reasoning.
- Reasoning Skills: Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal – reading passages, identifying key ideas, spotting relationships between words, and making inferences and understanding and solving problems using visual information like patterns, shapes, and sequences.
